Get on the Right Road

Let's face it: It's not always easy to find the right road to get your life where you want it to be.

Sometimes life is good. Your goals are clear, your plans are working, and you feel good about your progress toward achieving them.

And sometimes life begins to feel unfulfilling, unsatisfying, even frustrating -- no matter how hard you
try to make it better. We've all been there.

(Even before life threw us all the upheaval of our lives and the devastating losses that the covid pandemic brought to many of us.)

It is only too easy to slip into a rut
along your life path and feel stuck. Where your life is not falling apart.
It’s just at a plateau. Not moving forward. Maybe you reached some important goals, but now you’re not sure what you want to reach for next.
Or you know where you want to go, but just can’t seem to get there.

I believe it's easier to get unstuck, find your way, and move forward again
when you have someone at your side who cares, someone to listen, to help you get clear in your mind and heart what you really want, and then help
you design a workable plan with practical, measurable, do-able steps
to get you there.

It would be my honor to be there for
you as a life coach to help you step by step as you rethink your goals, revise your plans, and redouble your efforts
to press on toward the peace you long for and the fulfillment and satisfaction
of reaching the goals you dream about.

It would give me joy to walk with you and cheer you on till you know you’re moving forward again on the right road to success.

HOW WE DO IT:

The Basics

Put simply, Life Coaching is
helping a person identify
where they are in life,
where they desire to be
and the steps they will
take to get there. The
goal is to inspire you to
maximize your personal
potential.

These basics apply to
Life Coaching and in my
Educational Programs
in
all the areas described in
my list of “Specialties”
above.

Christian Life Coaching
is life coaching within a
Christian worldview. It helps
you to draw upon your faith
as a resource in making
practical application of
time-honored ancient biblical
principles to achieve your goals.

We will assess how you see your world
within your family and social context, and
together look at factors you believe have led
to the current problem(s) or “stuck points" .
Then I can offer life coaching or educational
programs to help you take action to address
these obstacles and their effects and go on
to reach your goals.

I believe it is very important to work with you to develop a plan that is personalized to really fit you, your needs, your strengths and weaknesses and is suited to help you move forward to reach your goals.

 Clean & sober.
    How recovery coaching
     can  help answer the big
     question of

Now what?

A happy personal life, a successful career, good health, prosperity and success – you can have it all if you will pay attention to maintaining a healthy balance in your life.  Life coaching helps you keep track of your priorities.

Are you longing for more quality time with your family? Do you want to regain your family's trust in you and restore good communication with each of them?

You can have them, but this will require building skills you may have neglected when busy using and abusing your "drug of choice" to cope instead of building the skills you need.

I can help you develop your own strategies
on how you will deal with your job, your key
relationships, and all of life's challenges
and still enjoy life to the max.

With recovery coaching, you can move beyond basic sobriety to have the life you always wanted.

I can help you identify the things
you must do to remain in recovery
and to develop your action plan to
get the new skills and tools you
are learning all added into your new
sober lifestyle and balanced with
your private life and family time –
without having to have less of one
to have more of the other.

Together we develop and help you put into action powerful individual strategies to find a new balance between tension and relaxation, between your job and your private life, and between your recovery and everything else.

CHANGING YOUR THINKING, FEELINGS, AND BEHAVIORS to be HEALTHY and HAPPY in RECOVERY

Many people in recovery try to push themselves hard to "make up for lost time" from their heavy drinking or drug using days.

They might be successful in doing this at their job, but cannot enjoy their new success because they are never able to truly relax. As a result of this, both their emotional health suffers and their risk of relapse grows higher.
Thankfully, people can change.

You can bring these areas of your life that are all so important to you into a healthy balance, thereby reuniting your body, mind and emotions.

Through efficient stress-reduction training, effective time management, and dedicated coaching, you will learn how to move beyond just ending your substance abuse and begin to approach yourself and your life in a new way.

By leading an active, balanced, and grounded lifestyle, you will be safer in recovery, happier in general, and even more successful in the long run.

See the section on coaching below to learn how adding recovery coaching to basic substance abuse counseling can make a real difference for you.

Coaching

Does your life feel stuck?
Have you lost sight of your
goals? Or do you know what
you want, but just can’t find
the way to get there?

Do you wonder, "Is this as good as it gets for me? Or can life be better, but I need  to know how to take the next step?"

Do you long to be more in tune with your life again? If such or similar worries weigh down on you, coaching can help you overcome them.

Coaching is not about coming to terms with the past. It's about building a healthy, happy future.

Coaching is not counseling. Counseling or substance abuse treatment is to help you stop abusing a substance, or if you became addicted, to stop using it altogether. It helps you get from below normal functioning, or even a dangerous addiction, to living life at a normal level again.

Life coaching is not psychotherapy.

Rather, a recovery coach shows you different perspectives and inspires you to change your life, set new goals and dare new things – so that you can harness your full potential.

Life coaching is a tool to take you on from normal functioning to peak functioning.
The right questions are key in this discovery process: What does the life you dream of look like? What exactly doesn't feel right? With a keen sensitivity and a trained external perspective, I will help you develop your personal vision.

GREAT COACHING,
GREAT RESULTS

We are no longer able to identify our true self when we are so often trapped in our familiar comfort zone.

Effective coaching helps you shed old behavioral patterns and hit the reset button to start again with a fresh energy and a sense of vitality.

It is important to know that, as a life coach, instead of simply telling you what to do, we will find out together what you need to do in order for you to achieve your goals and regain your sense of motivation and satisfaction.

Then I will challenge and encourage you to take action to get there.

PUSH YOUR LIMITS

Say goodbye to your fears about staying out of substance abuse and being able to have a happy life without alcohol or other drugs. Any relapses in the past and fears about your future are just common obstacles that lie in the way to a fulfilled life.

Through recovery coaching, I will help you identify these obstacles honestly, get past them effectively, and leave them far behind.
